Kristin Chenoweth, Mark Salling and more of Cory's fellow gleeks took to Twitter shortly after his death. The entire world was stunned when news broke June 13 that Cory Monteith was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room -- but few were as devastated, or more vocal, than the people who worked with Cory, 31, on his hit Fox series.

‘Glee’ Cast Reacts To Cory’s Death

Mark Salling, who plays the on-screen BFF to Cory’s Finn, tweeted the most knee-jerk response to Cory’s passing — a simple, and heartbreaking, “no” — but he deleted his tweet shortly after.

Harry Shum, Jr., who plays Mike Chang, wrote, “At this time, please send nothing but love and light. This tragic news still doesn’t feel real to me.”

One of the most intense responses, due largely to her use of capital letters, came from Dot Marie Jones, who plays Coach Shannon Beiste:

I HAVE NO WORDS! MY HEART IS BROKEN CORY WAS NOT ONLY A HELL OF A FRIEND HE WAS ONE AMAZING MEN THAT I WILL HOLD CLOSE TO MY HEART FOREVER.

I AM BLESSED TO HAVE WORKED WITH HIM AND LOVE HIM SO MUCH! MY HEART IS WITH HID FAMILY AND OUR WHOLE GLEE FAMILY! I LOVE YOU ALL!

Kristin Chenoweth, who made three appearances on Glee as April Rhodes, simply tweeted, “RIP CoryMontieth. You will be loved. Always.”

Iqbal Theba, who plays McKinley High’s delightfully demented Principal Figgins, tweeted, “OMG!! My Cory…”

Lauren Potter, who plays Sue’s partner-in-crime Becky, paid tribute with three heartbroken tweets:

I am totally heartbroken right now. I love Cory so much this hurts my heart.

I hope my #glee family is ok right now. I love them all.

Neil Patrick Harris, who had a cameo way back in season one, wrote, “How sad to read about Cory Monteith passing away. What a shame. He was a lovely, kind, talented guy and will be missed.”

Former cast member Damian McGinty also chimed in, reflecting on his time working with Cory. He tweeted, “The guy I shot my first acting scene with. The nicest guy I’ve met. Can’t believe it.”

Gwyneth Paltrow, who had many cameos throughout Glee released the statement: “Cory was a sweet and talented man. My heart breaks for Lea and the entire Glee family.”
