Eli Manning & Abby Welcome Daughter Lucy Thomas
The couple, who have been married for four years, welcomed their second daughter on June 17. But the footballer didn’t reveal the good news until July 4, when his team the New York Giants posted a sweet message on Twitter!
“We welcome another Manning to the @Giants Family, Eli and Abby’s second daughter, Lucy Thomas born June 17, 2013,” the Giants posted on its Twitter on July 4.
Lucy joins the couple’s first daughter Ava Frances, 2. The Mannings announced they were adding another member to their family in March.
“We’re all very excited,” he told Us Weekly at the time.
Eli Gushes About Marriage To Wife Abby
Eli and Abby have been married for five years, and tied the knot in a private ceremony in Los Cabos, Mexico on April 19, 2008.
The pro athlete gushed about his wife to Us Weekly:
I think a marriage, if you get the right one, it definitely works well, ’cause you can stay focused on your job. She’s there to support me, and just try to lift the spirits. In some ways, we have similar personalities, where she is laid-back, but she kinda knows when to get serious and when to be hard on me or keeps me in a straight line, which I like.
