But it’s only because other big names like Dwight Howard (Orlando Magic), Chris Bosh (Miami Heat) and Derrick Rose (Chicago Bulls) have injuries and the team is looking for a big name, a source tells HollywoodLife.com.

“If Lamar makes the team it just proves that the Men’s basketball team have lost a ton of talent due to injury,” a source tells us.

The team is hand-selected and the players will only be tested on their physical endurance and for drugs. While the roster won’t be finalized until July 7 — Anthony Davis is in the running next to Lamar for the Olympic team since he’s the number one pick for the NBA draft which will be on June 28.

Lamar definitely wants this opportunity, so it would be great if he gets it. And we’re sure Khloe would be proud!

What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Would you like to see Lamar make the Olympic team?
