Angelo David, of the Angelo David salon in NYC, thinks this could be a peak at an extension — or a scar.

“It could be one of two things: Either a scar from a recent accident or some kind of hair extension job gone wrong (since you can notice it). Kate is such a gorgeous lady that it wouldn’t hurt adding a few extensions to the side of her hair to create volume,” says Angelo. “Besides, Hair extensions nowadays is such a big part of our culture and it here to stay. Hair extensions definitely help create gorgeous event hair, such as Kate’s, Regardless, she looks fantastic!”

Natasha Sunshine of Byu-Ti Salon in LA is more convinced that Kate has on extensions.

“It looks like Kate has a tape-in extensions. Great for adding a bit of fullness to fine hair,” explains Natasha. “They are easily removed so they’re great for a night out or can even be left in for a couple weeks. With that said — Kate can do anything! She looks gorgeous no matter what she does.”

Extensions or not, I’m pretty sure that we can all agree that this stunning Duchess can do no wrong!
