Many loose ends were tied together on the half-hour Entourage series finale — Vince is ready to tie the knot, Ari leaves his job and a pregnant Sloane forgives E! But was it really wise to leave us with only one cliffhanger?
Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) and his crew went out out with a bang on the Sept. 11th season finale of Entourage. It was definitely a happy ending for all of the characters, which was nice, but a little hard to believe — don’t you think?
At the beginning of the episode, Vince says he is in love with Vanity Fair writer, Sofia, and that he’s going to marry her. Vince claims: “This is it.”
We’re happy Vince is finally in love (and that she’s not a porn star) — but we found it a little odd how the writers turned his celebrity-player image into a saint-like one. Their relationship which only evolved over 24 hours turned into them jetting off to Paris to get married. This was definitely shocking and hard to believe. They say when things are too good to be true — they usually are. Curious to see how this one ends up for Vince (ahemm — Entourage movie plot!).
And Vince of course was not the only one to follow his heart during the series finale. Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) — who has been struggling with his divorce all season — finally came to his senses and chose his family over his career.
The Hollywood hotshot made quite the exit from his long, successful career to make amends with his wife — Melissa — (we now know her name!) and jet off to Florence, Italy.
But the mood turned somber when Ari parted ways with his former assistant Lloyd (Rex Lee). A wide-eyed Lloyd confessed “but I need you, Ari,” after he quit his job. Ari reassured Lloyd he was ready to take over his legacy — so sweet!
And the love reunions didn’t stop there though. My absolute favorite was Sloane (Emmanuelle Chriqui) and E’s (Kevin Connolly) reunion after finding out she was pregnant with his baby.
After the boys begged Sloane to join them for Vince and Sofia’s nuptials in Paris — Vince took the liberty of setting up a private jet for E and Sloane to fly anywhere in the world and work things out! It was so adorable!
Overall it was great finale — and we can’t wait to see what will happen in the movie! The boys as of now are moving back to the Big Apple and leaving Tinsletown, which will definitely be interesting.
And with so many emotions onscreen — we’re sure it was just as difficult to part ways off screen.
Adrian Grenier tweeted last night: “#entourage final episode tonight. If I could do it all again, I wouldn’t change a thing.” Aweee!
