On Tonight's 'Bachelor': Brad Womack Takes Emily Maynard To A Race Track & Admits, 'I Feel Like A Jerk!'

Reading Time: 2 minute

Considering Emily’s late husband was a former NASCAR driver, do you think Brad’s insensitive for taking her to a race track?

Wow! Brad Womack can be one insensitive son-of-a-gun! In a teaser clip for tonight’s episode of The Bachelor, we see Brad lead the girls on a group date to a race car track. And yes, the group contains one of the frontrunners, Emily Maynard! Did Brad completely forget the sad story about Emily’s former fiance — NASCAR driver Ricky Hendrick who passed away in a plane crash? It sure seems that way!

“I am living a dream of mine,” Brad starts our saying. “I think the girls are happy and then I’m realizing something’s really wrong with Emily. She’s smiling but it’s almost a forced smile.”

Deeply concerned, Brad pulls Emily away from the group for a private chat. “I’m worried about you,” he tells her. “I saw your face change and I was thinking about it … of course.”

“I’m fine,” Emily responds, looking down. “I’m excited to just be here with you. I don’t want you to think that I’m ungrateful or that I’m not excited to be here, or anything. Honestly, I just wanted to move on … ”

But it’s obvious she can’t.

“Can I ask you what got you involved in NASCAR in the first place?” Brad asks.

“Ricky was a race car driver and he switched into an owner position,” Emily explains. “Vegas track is what ended his driving career. He crashed at the Vegas track. You think you leave it behind and you come here and it’s like … ”

“I feel like a jerk,” Brad admits.

Be sure to check out The Bachelor at 8 p.m. tonight on ABC!
