Brad dismissed Bettina during the final-three episode in his first Bachelor season. He then walked away from the show without handing out a final rose to either Jenni Croft or DeAnna Pappas, and two years later began chasing Bettina again, taking her on a slew of romantic dates and trying to win her over with his “charming” ways,” Life & Style reports.
Apparently it worked, as Bettina says their relationship carried on for nine months before he suddenly dumped her when the opportunity came up to go back on The Bachelor.
“It was strange,” Bettina says. “He was pursuing me like crazy, and then out of nowhere he went MIA!”
Brad left Bettina completely stunned, confused and heartbroken. After all, Brad told her he hated going on the show the first time!
“He said it was a bad experience,” she says. “He was really negative about it.”
But Bettina thinks Brad’s need for fame is the reason he’s back on the show.
“The show has 18 million viewers,” she points out. “It can open a lot of doors.”
Wow! If Bettina is being honest about her relationship with Brad, then Chantal O’Brien — this season’s rumored winner — had better watch out. Who knows when Brad will decide to up and leave her. Wherever Brad goes, heartbreak is sure to follow!
