Tiger Woods, Elin Nordegren And Their kids — Tiger Woods‘ personal life has had almost as many ups and downs as his storied golf career. The PGA pro married Elin Nordegren in 2004 but the pair had far from a fairytale ending after they divorced in 2010 following his very public cheating scandal. Still, they remained committed to being the best possible co-parents for their daughter Sam, who is 14 and was born in June 2007, and son Charlie, who came along in Feb. 2009 and is 12.

The kids have been raised around golf tournaments, with Elin still bringing the children out to watch their dad on the links long after their marriage ended. As a result, fans have been able to watch them grow from adorable toddlers to cute little children to now a teen and a pre-teen.

Charlie competed in his

alongside his dad during the PNC Championship at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club Orlando (Grande Lakes) from Dec. 17 to 20, 2020. Sam is now as tall as her 5’11” mom, and Charlie is turning out to be a chip off the block when it comes to his dad’s golfing skills. Tiger and Charlie had a great day on the links, finishing in 7th during the duo’s circuit debut. “I don’t think words can describe it,” Tiger said at the time to CBS Sports. “The fact that we were able to have this experience together — it’s memories for a lifetime.”

Later in an interview with ESPN Tiger said, “It’s so much fun to see him enjoying the game. That’s the whole idea. Enjoy hitting shots and creating those shots. It’s so cool for me to see him enjoy the sport and feeling the shots and hitting it as solid as he is hitting it.'”

Tiger and Erica were first seen together at the 2017 President’s Cup, where she wore a “player’s spouse” credentials around her neck, despite the pair not being married. Erica is already a fixture in Tiger’s family, with an insider telling People in 2021, “They live together at his house now”. They added, “The kids like her.”

Tiger’s career would almost come to an end in early 2021 after he was involved in a near-fatal car accident in Rancho Palos Verdes, California on Feb. 23. He was significantly injured, suffering “crush injuries of both lower legs, including a compound fracture and a shattered ankle.”

The athlete has been working on getting back on the course but told Golf Digest in Nov. 2021 he’ll be taking things much slower when he makes his return to the pros. “I think something that is realistic is playing the tour one day,” Tiger said.

“Never full time, ever again. But pick and choose… Pick and choose a few events a year and you play around that. You practice around that, and you gear yourself up for that. I think that’s how I’m going to have to play it from now on. It’s an unfortunate reality, but it’s my reality, and I accept it.”

Tiger talked about why he and Elin keep close for their kids during a 2016 appearance on Late Night With Stephen Colbert. “We have Sam and we have Charlie. And we love them so much that we are going to do whatever it takes to make that work,” he said.

“That’s how it happened. … I’ve talked to her about so many different things and she does the same thing with me back and forth. We communicate so much better now, it’s incredible. I wish we would have done that earlier on, but it’s been incredible to have a best friend like that.”

After the divorce, Elin opened up about their relationship with People, telling the magazine, “I’ve gone through hell.” She was ashamed to admit she never suspected Tiger was cheating. “I’m so embarrassed that I never suspected—not a one.
