Bravo took a huge risk by rooting The Real Housewives of New York City for season 14 — and for the most part, it was a risk that paid off. Fans enjoyed meeting a new group of women and learning about their diverse stories, even if there wasn’t as much chaotic drama as the days with Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, and Bethenny Frankel. Andy Cohen in particular has been very happy with how the RHONY reboot turned out.
“What makes it the right group of women is they’re a cohesive group,” he said about the cast of the reboot in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in July 2023. “They’re funny, they’re fun, they’re aspirational, they’re fashionable. They live their lives. They’re opening up their lives in front of the camera. They’re all dynamic. They’re professionals. They, I think, represent a different New York than we’ve seen before,” he added. “They are diverse. They live all over the city and it feels fresh and very vibrant.”
Following the season 14 finale that aired October 15, everyone is wondering what’s next for the Big Apple franchise. Will Bravo keep things the way they are for season 15? Or are more changes coming to the show? Here’s everything we know so far about RHONY season 15.
It hasn’t been announced when RHONY will return for season 15. The show is likely waiting until the two-part reunion finishes airing on October 29 to start filming the next season. Its possible production on season 15 will begin at the end of 2023 with a premiere date for the summer of 2024, which would align with the schedule for season 14.
It’s likely, but not definite, that the entire season 14 cast — Erin Lichy, Sai De Silva, Brynn Whitfield, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, and Ubah Hassan — will all get a second season. None of the women have indicated that they want off the show. However, the season 15 cast still hasn’t been confirmed.
There’s also a possibility new women get added to the mix for season 15. On September 28, the RHONY Casting Instagram page put out a casting call with an email for contact. Bravo might want to add more fresh blood to season 15 to spice up the dynamics between the cast.
Don’t expect to see the women from the original era of the show return for the next season of the reboot. Luckily, fans can catch Ramona, Sonja, Luann, Dorinda Medley, Kelly Bensimon, and Kristen Taekman on the next season of The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip on Peacock. The six of them filmed RHUGT: RHONY Legacy in St. Barts in June 2023. The show is expected to premiere in December 2023.
