No, Hailey Bieber is not pregnant, she clarified during an October 24 interview with GQ. But the 26-year-old is definitely tired of seeing the rumors and noted that the internet “will be the last to know” when she and husband Justin Bieber are ready to expand their family.
“Recently, everybody was like, ‘Oh, my God, she’s pregnant,’ and that’s happened to me multiple times before,” Hailey pointed out. “There is something that’s disheartening about … ‘Damn, I can’t be bloated one time and not be pregnant?’ It would be a lie if I was like, ‘Oh, yeah, I don’t give a s**t.’ When there comes a day that that is true, you, as in the internet, will be the last to know.”
Since the spotlight is “probably totally unavoidable” at this point for her, Hailey noted, she recalled saying in past interviews that she wanted to raise a family out of the public eye. However, “That was before I was married,” the model added. “[I] didn’t know who I was going to be married to at the time, I’m sure.”
“Maybe I liked the idea at 18 of not raising kids around certain things, but my life is so different now than it was when I was 18,” she explained. “It’s so hard to say what I’m going to do or not do when there isn’t even a child here yet. I don’t even know what it feels like to be a parent other than a dog parent yet. And that’s not the same thing, by any means.”
While becoming a mom “is something that [she looks] forward to,” Hailey also doubled down that “It’s also such a private, intimate thing. It’s something that’s going to come when it comes. And it’s just, honestly, at the end of the day, so hilarious how much people f**king care. Let me do what I want to do with my body, and you guys can do what you want to do with your body — and let’s just let it be that.”
Previously, Justin, 29, teased the idea of having children with his wife, whom he married in 2018. One year after exchanging vows, the “Lonely” artist suggested that he and Hailey were planning on having kids in an Instagram birthday tribute for her.
“Happy birthday, babes!” he wrote in 2019. “You make me want to be better everyday! The way you live your life is so attractive. ps you turn me on in every way, next season BABIES [sic].” However, Hailey later clarified that she and Justin “didn’t make any babies” while quarantining during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.
