Jessica Simpson‘s daughter, Birdie, may have even more shoes than the Kardashians. At least, she’s getting there, judging by the photo of the one-year-old’s massive shoe collection that Jessica posted to Instagram on Dec. 1. There were sneakers, loafers, Mary Janes, sandals, you name it — just about every shoe in every color and print imaginable! It appears the collection was a mixture of Birdie and Jessica’s stylish footwear.

Birdie sat right in the middle of her shoe empire, proudly holding up a pair of cheetah print heels from her mom’s self-named clothing label. Birdie of course had on a sweet pair of kicks, too: glittery silver high-top sneakers! Jessica found her youngest child’s adoration of shoes amusing, given how much the singer’s feet suffered while Birdie was still in her tummy.

“The irony to Birdie’s love for shoes is that I was so swollen when I was pregnant with her that I couldn’t wear any,” Jessica teased under the photo of Birdie sitting on her shoe collection. The mother of three added, “It’s true what they say- the third child gets the hand-me-downs!”

Jessica’s swollen feet was no joke during her pregnancy with Birdie. The Dukes of Hazzard star alarmed Instagram followers when she shared a photo of her extremely swollen foot in Jan. 2019, and begged for people to suggest “remedies.” Jessica eventually did find a remedy called cupping therapy to de-puff her feet, and they eventually went back to normal. While she didn’t disclose the culprit behind her swollen feet, such an ailment is sometimes a symptom of preeclampsia, “a disease of the placenta,” which Dr. Linda Burke-Galloway, board-certified OB-GYN and author, EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife.

Jessica’s no longer dealing with swollen feet, though. She has dropped around 100 pounds since welcoming Birdie with husband Eric Johnson in March of 2019, and loves to show off her fitness transformation on Instagram –such as this photo of herself in a tight sports bra and leopard-print leggings (still no shoes, though).
