There’s no better person to invite to a show celebrating American music artists than Jennifer Lopez! The 51-year-old multi-hyphenate has shaped pop and R&B music in the country since 1999, and the culture-impacter also made an impact on the 2020 AMAs stage in a sheer catsuit paired with diamond stud earrings from JustDesi Jewelry to kick-start a sensual performance of “Pa Ti.”

J.Lo held the spotlight on the dimly lit stage, which was surrounded with dancers behind cages. The iconic moment sent music theater enthusiasts’ hearts soaring, since it was undoubtedly a wink to the “Cell Block Tango” scene from the classic Chicago Broadway production!
Then, Maluma took the stage in a dapper suit to segue into a performance of “Lonely,” although he was anything but. J.Lo joined him by a light up table, which they proceeded to hop on top of and get hot and heavy with one another! The act was reminiscent of Maluma and J.Lo’s equally sexy music video for “Pa Ti” and “Lonely” that they dropped in September.
J.Lo delivered just as much steaminess on the red carpet before her performance (see the photo below). To make her entrance at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, Jennifer dazzled in glittery, silver two-piece ensemble from Balmain. She rocked a high-slit skit and a midriff-baring, long-sleeve top, complete with a Grecian neckline. To match her outfit’s silver glam, J.Lo accessorized with earrings and rings from Luminous Diamonds. She promised us she’d be steamy tonight — and she delivered!
J.Lo and Maluma undeniably have great chemistry when they perform together, which we’ll also get to see on the big screen! The singing sensations recently wrapped filming on a new romantic comedy, Marry Me, in which Maluma plays the fiancé whom J.Lo ditches to find new love with a character played by Owen Wilson. The movie is currently in post-production (its scheduled fall of 2020 release was pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic).
This is far from J.Lo’s first time at the AMAs (although it’s her first time at the award show during a pandemic, meaning the show couldn’t host its usual packed audience). J.Lo picked up the award for “Favorite Latin Artist” in 2007 and 2011, “Favorite Female Artist” in the pop/rock category in 2003, and “Favorite Female Artist” for the soul/R&B category in 2005. She has also been nominated for three other awards throughout the years, making it clear that the “On The Floor” singer is an MVP at the AMAs!
