Nicholas “Sifu” Alsup couldn’t contain his excitement on the premiere of Survivor 45, and nobody could blame him. The 30-year-old arrived in Fiji with an infectious personality that’s made him an early fan-favorite with the fans. Sifu employed the strategy of spying on his fellow tribemates in the bushes at camp, which was made famous by Tony Vlachos, winner of season 28 and season 40.

Sifu is so happy to be on Survivor, and if he plays his cards right, he can go very far in the game and win the $1 million grand prize. Keep reading to learn more about Sifu!

Sifu lives in Illinois.

Sifu lives in O’Fallon, Illinois. He’s one of two Survivor 45 contestants who reside in Illinois. The other is Austin Li Coon, who lives in Chicago.

Sifu owns a gym.

Sifu is the owner of a gym called 5 Elements Fitness. Sifu’s gym offers consultations for physical therapy and personal training. He also sells merchandise from the gym. Sifu proudly documents his business on his Instagram.

Sifu does Tai Chi.

“I’ve been doing Tai Chi my whole life and martial arts ever since I was six years old,” Sifu said in an interview with Parade. He explained that his experience with Tai Chi will help him perform well in the challenges on Survivor. Sifu often shares videos on his social media of himself doing Tai Chi.

Sifu makes music.

In addition to being a gym owner, Sifu is also a musician who has gone on tour across the country. He’s released several songs called “With You,” “TiMa,” “Better Be Positive,” and “QuickSand” that are all on Spotify. His latest album, Heal Now, has 12 songs and came out on September 22.

Sifu is engaged.

Sifu mentioned that he has a fiancé during his interview with Parade. He said that the couple started watching Survivor with season 40, which was the all-winners season. From there, Sifu decided to go back and watch all the past seasons.
