Griffin Johnson: 5 Things About TikTok Star Spotted On Back-To-Back Outings With Kelly Osbourne

For the second time within a week, Kelly Osbourne was seen out and about with Griffin Johnson. Here’s the scoop on this TikTok sensation.

If Kelly Osbourne becomes the next big star to take over TikTok (maybe she’ll post a video skateboarding to Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train?” a la Nathan “Doggface” Apodaca), then she probably will have Griffin Johnson to thank. Kelly, 35, and the 21-year-old social media sensation were seen together out and about in Los Angeles on Saturday (Oct. 17), three days after they were spotted having dinner at Craig’s in West Hollywood. While the exact nature of these outings or their relationship is unknown, the refreshingly frank Kelly will likely let everyone know if they’re just BFFs or more sooner than later. In the meantime, for those who don’t know Griffin, here are a few details:

1. Griffin is a TikTok star with over 7 million followers. Griffin hails from Illinois, but most know him for his TikTok videos and vlogs. He’s known for posting comedy videos and not so much for dance crazes. “my dad always told me to try and be the best at whatever you do.. that’s why i decided to be the best at being the worst dancer on TikTok,” he tweeted in May 2020.

2. He’s also a nursing student. Before moving to LA, Griffin was studying to be a nurse at Indiana State University. “Social media has changed my life not only with the friends I have made, but the ability to affect and change my fans’ days and lives,” he told The Indiana Statemen in Feb. 2019. “I love social media for the opportunities and people I have been able to meet. I am currently about to start my tour this weekend in Orlando, Florida. I am also moving to LA for the summer.”

3, Griffin was a member of Sway House …  Griffin is a founding member of Sway House (aka Sway LA), a collective of influencers/social media creatives/TikTok stars who shared a home in Los Angeles. The group quickly developed a reputation for living in a “frat house,” and multiple outlets reported that Los Angeles mayor Eric Carcetti had Sway House’s utilities cut after member Bryce Hall hosted several large gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, when this all went down in August, Griffin was living elsewhere.

4. …but he moved out in July. “LA itself is a battle,” Griffin told Insider in July, after deciding to leave Sway LA. “I find myself getting into immature situations sometimes. And I’m like, ‘Why did I do that?’ It’s very easy, especially for these younger kids that never had to become adults in any way, shape, or form.”

Instead of staying with the Sway LA house, Griffith left to take on a leadership role at SwayGaming, which Insider reports is a “gaming house” formed by a “partnership between Sway’s parent company, TalentX Entertainment, and the esports organization ReKTGlobal.” Griffin said that the decision was made with his career in mind. “I’m going more into the entrepreneur-acting route,” he told Insider. “So you have to have a really clean image for that. You can’t be doing crazy things on the internet.

He had a high-profile breakup with a fellow TikTok star. “On TikTok, the influencers — not all of them, but a lot of influencers — the ones that create the most drama are the ones that are the most relevant,” Griffin told Insider in July, right before he got ensnared in some of that drama. That month, Charli D’Amelio accused her ex, Chase Hudson, of cheating on her. In return, Chase seemingly aired the entire TikTok community’s dirty laundry and accused Griffin of cheating on Dixie D’Aemlio with two other women, per Seventeen.

Though Dixie seemingly brushed off the allegation, she stopped following Griffin online a few weeks later. Dixie confirmed that she and Griffin “broke up” in a YouTube vlog, and Griffin released a song, “Convenient,” which was seemingly about their split. “She said I cheated/That’s just f-cked up,” he sings. Dixie, per Seventeen, went online afterward and shared Snapchats, Instagram /DMs, and more screenshots of Griffin allegedly asking for pics and saying he’s single. She also included a screenshot of what appears to be an apology text from her now ex-boyfriend. Griffin went on Twitter to “admit to f-cking up” in late September. “I’m not perfect. God knows I’m not even close, but time for others to admit the same.”
