Hollywood and the world of sports icons alike are sending their best wishes and prayers to Tiger Woods following a horrific “single-vehicle roll-over traffic collision” that took place in Los Angeles on February 23. The beloved athlete, 45, was immediately rushed to the hospital following the accident, which required first-responders to use the “jaws of life” to extract Tiger from the mangled vehicle. Once the news went public, stars across the entertainment industry and world of sports sent touching messages, tributes, and hope for Tiger’s recovery.

Former President Barack Obama called Tiger “the Greatest of All Time of golf,” and sent his prayers for a speedy recovery. Obama is a golf fanatic and famously played a round with Tiger in Feb. 2013 during a quick vacation to West Palm Beach, FL. The 58-year-old also noted Tiger’s infamous toughness and comeback abilities, as he noted in his is tweet, “If we’ve learned anything over the years, it’s to never count Tiger out.”

From tennis’ GOAT to golf’s GOAT, Serena Williams sent her love to Tiger in a tweet, with the 39-year-old sweetly calling him her “big brother. “Love you big brother… but We will get through this @TigerWoods,” she wrote. Serena resides in south Florida as does Tiger, and knows the pressures of what it takes to become the greatest in her sport.
Singer Janet Jackson kept her message simple, telling Tiger on Instagram that she was “Sending thoughts and prayers to you.” The two teamed up in May 2019 for the golfer’s annual Tiger Jam to benefit Woods’ TGR Foundation, which provides resources to underrepresented school children. Guests that year were treated to a performance by Janet at her Las Vegas residency show, Metamorphosis.

Don’t take not even a MOMENT for granted! I know you’re good because your Tiger within is a beast!!!”
