Mark learns Houda isn’t down with him dating other women on TLC’s latest hit show Match Me Abroad. In this EXCLUSIVE preview of the Sunday, July 16 episode, Mark and Houda are enjoying their second date in Morocco when she asks if he has other dates lined up. As Mark is working with matchmaker Nina, he has already agreed to see a few other single ladies. The revelation causes Houda to give Mark an ultimatum, but not before she tells him her feelings on kissing before marriage!
“I know this is like the second day we’re seeing each other, so is this when you normally kiss someone?” Mark asks Houda as they sit on the edge of a pool. “Because I wanna kiss you,” he adds. When Houda answers that couples can’t kiss before marriage because “that’s the culture” in her homeland, Mark becomes incredulous. Houda doubles down and says, “Yes. It’s not allowed. That’s the religion.”
In a confessional, Mark says he can’t understand why he can’t lock lips with his date. “It’s date number two and if things are going well at home, you normally have more physical contact then nothing. So it’s very different and very weird. Like there is no progression from day one to the day you get married. It’s exactly the same.”
At this point, the dreaded “other dates” conversation occurs, with Houda asking, “So tell me, does Nina have other persons for you to meet?” Mark says he has “one more person” to meet and adds, “I have to kind of see them because I already agreed to.”
Houda replied, “I mean, did you sign a contract that you have to meet the others? So you still can, you can refuse. I mean, you can do whatever you want. It’s just that if you’re meeting someone else after me, you’re not gonna see me again. Cuz that’s gonna be disrespectful.”
In her confessional, Houda says she is “super mad” about Mark’s actions. “I don’t see it as a culture problem,” she states. “He sees that women are like objects that he can just pick one amongst others. And I don’t like this at all.”
