There was plenty of booze, bling, and beats when Offset celebrated his 29th birthday on Monday (Dec. 14.) The Migos rapper, joined by his beloved life, Cardi B (rocking a blonde look for the night), hit up an Atlanta nightclub to celebrate his big day. The only thing missing from the bash was social distancing, because – judging by the videos Offset and Cardi, 28, shared to their Instagram stories – the club was packed. A few folks were spotted wearing masks inside, but for the most part, everyone appeared to be there to forget the pandemic and celebrate Offset’s last birthday before the Big 3-0.
Towards the end of the evening, Cardi decided to gift her baby a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ. “Only 63 of these in the world,” a shocked Offset said while thanking his wife for the gift. Offset should be grateful because Car And Driver says an Aventarod SVJ will cost around $526,443. Yes, Cardi just dropped half a million dollars to buy her boo a very expensive new car. This does top the custom Rolls Royce Cullinan SUV (worth an estimated $330,000) that he bought Cardi for her birthday in October, but who’s counting, really?
Though, if anyone’s counting the number of people in the club (and the number of masks that were worn), then the couple better get ready for some backlash. The COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing (and over the past week, The New York Times reports that “there has been an average of 5,562 cases per day, an increase of 101 percent from the average two weeks earlier.”) Cardi recently fended off COVID-related criticism. After holding a 37-person Thanksgiving dinner party, fans dragged the “WAP” rapper for the seemingly careless behavior.
“Sorry, my bad, wasn’t trying to make nobody feel bad,” she explained on Twitter afterward. “I just had my family in my home for the first time, and it felt so good and uplifted me. I spent soo much money getting every1 tested, but it felt worth it. I wasn’t trying to offend no1.” She also stressed that she and everyone that works around her “get tested literally four times a week.”
This is not the first time this year that Offset and Cardi have partied in a packed club. The two were spotted together at Allure, “a gentleman’s club,” in Atlanta on Oct. 12, days after the two reunited at her birthday party in Las Vegas. Cardi had, at the time, split from her husband of three years and filed divorce papers. Since then, she apparently called off the split, and the two have patched things up.
