Hayden Panettiere knows how to feed a sweet tooth! The Nashville alum, 31, took to Instagram on December 9, to share a closeup photo of her daughter Kaya‘s 6th birthday cake. The lavish dessert, which displayed the number six, looked like a layered donut topped with various treats including macaroons, strawberries, and gold crown symbols.
“6 years ago today, I met the most amazing (not so little anymore) creature,” Hayden wrote along side her post, admitting, “[I] Can’t believe my baby girl is getting so big!” She went on to thank the founder of D&Y Couture (Yana) for designing the “beautiful cake” in honor of her daughter’s milestone. “#HappyBirthdayKaya #blessed,” Hayden added in her caption, tagging her former fiancé and Kaya’s father, Wladimir Klitschko.
Hayden, who’s very private about her personal life, usually tags her ex in posts that pertain to their daughter. Though, the actress is very careful not to share images of the 6-year-old’s face, presumably to protect her privacy. In June, Hayden shared a (since-deleted) throwback photo to Instagram that showed her holding Kaya, who had her back turned to the camera.
Hayden and Klitschko, a former professional boxer, began dating in 2009, and called it quits in 2011. They later reconciled and got engaged in 2013, yet they never reached the alter. The parents split sometime in the summer of 2018. Not long after, Hayden moved on with Brian Hickerson, who she’s no longer dating.
In July, HollywoodLife confirmed Hickerson was arrested in Los Angeles. At the time, Hayden released the following statement to HollywoodLife after Hickerson’s arrest: “I am coming forward with the truth about what happened to me with the hope that my story will empower others in abusive relationships to get the help they need and deserve. I am prepared to do my part to make sure this man never hurts anyone again,” the actress claimed, adding, “I’m grateful for my support system, which helped me find the courage to regain my voice and my life.”
Additionally, Hayden’s attorney, Alan Jackson shared this statement with us: “After suffering for years as the victim of psychological, emotional and severe physical abuse, Hayden Panettiere has begun the process of taking back her life. Hayden has found the strength and courage to share the truth about her abuse and her abuser, and she intends to assist the prosecution to see that justice is served,” Jackson continued, adding about his client: “As a survivor, she recognizes that her arduous journey of healing has just begun.”
