Another Jersey Shore baby is on the way! Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and wife Lauren Pesce are expecting their first child together in May 2021! The happy couple revealed the exciting news on Tuesday while baking Christmas cookies at home in New Jersey.

“Our biggest blessing is on it’s way,” Lauren, 35, wrote alongside a series of Instagram photos. One snap showed the message, “Baby Sorrentino May 2021,” written in baking flour, while their adorable pup was nearby. Mike and Lauren shared a sweet celebratory kiss and gazed into each other’s eyes in more snaps, which included a collage of ultrasound photos. Mike, 38, shared the same post to his Instagram with the caption, “We got a Baby Situation.”

The couple’s pregnancy news comes just over a year after Mike was released from prison in September of 2019. The reality star served an eight-month sentence for tax evasion beginning on January 15 (2019) at Otisville Federal Correctional Institution in New York. His sentence was followed by two years of supervised release along with a $10,000 fine and 500 hours of community service.

When Mike and Lauren reunited after his release, they were eager to start a family together. Sadly, in November 2019, Lauren suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage. The couple revealed the devastating news during an appearance on Strahan, Sara and Keke. “At about six and half, seven weeks, I miscarried,” Lauren admitted, adding, “It was heart-wrenching.”

Mike tied the knot with Lauren, his college sweetheart, on November 1, 2018, after dating for four years — with a break in between during Mike’s early Jersey Shore days. “We are each other’s best friend and together we can handle anything,” Lauren shared in a statement following their romantic nuptials. — There is no situation these two can’t handle together!
