Kim Kardashian, 35, shared the video of Kanye West, 39, talking to Taylor Swift, 26, about his controversial song “Famous” immediately after Keeping Up With The Kardashians on July 17.  The episode featured an in-depth convo about the feud on the show. So why didn’t they just show the clip on Keeping Up?

“They didn’t air it on the show because it would have required Taylor to sign a release for the usage and they didn’t want it to affect the entire network,” an insider told Us. By Kim posting it on her personal Snapchat, only she and Yeezy can get in trouble. “Taylor will sue Kanye personally.”

So, Kim and Kanye must be freaking out about the possible impending lawsuit, right? Wrong! “Kim and Kanye consulted with their lawyers and still went ahead with releasing it,” the source continued. “They are not worried. They are sick of Taylor’s manipulations and her good girl act. They just wanted to expose her as a fake and will let the lawyers deal with legal stuff.” Wow!

They may not be worried, but a lawsuit is a very real concern. In California, it’s illegal to record a phone call unless everyone on the call is aware and has consented to it. Kanye and Kim releasing the video without her permission could definitely lead to legal action, and Taylor made it clear that she does not consent when she sent Kanye a legal letter in Feb.. We’re just going to have to wait and see what Tay does!
