The show cast includes Jencarlos Canela as Jesus, Chris Daughtry as Judas, Seal as Pontius Pilate, Prince Royce as Peter and Trisha Yearwood as Mary. Tyler Perry will be narrating The Passion.
The Passion focuses on Jesus Christ’s last hours, as he attends the Last Supper, gets betrayed by Judas, put on trial by Pontius Pilate, then crucified and resurrected. The event will feature some of New Orleans’ most beloved locations. Hundreds of people will also carry a 20-foot cross from outside the Superdome to the live stage at Woldenberg Park on the banks of the Mississippi River. It’s going to be an event you’ll never forget.
The cast will be covering some of music’s biggest hits, including Whitney Houston’s “My Love Is Your Love,” Phillip Phillips’ “Home,” Jewel’s “Hands,” Evanescence’s “Bring Me To Life,” Tears For Fears’ “Mad World” and more.
