Tina Fey Literally Slays In Purple Strapless Versace Gown At 2016 Oscars

Be still, my heart. Comedy goddess Tina Fey ruled the Oscars red carpet in a strapless purple Versace gown and matching Bulgari jewelry. Tina, please lead me to the Fountain of Youth that you are clearly a regular customer at. Am I the only one whose jaw has been effectively dislocated due to the perfection that is Tina Fey at the 2016 Academy Awards? The Whiskey Tango Foxtrot star dazzled in a gorgeous floor-length purple gown, pulling out all the stops to look her best for when she presents during the ceremony today, Feb. 28. Who wouldn't want to be this woman?

Let’s just take a second to consider the fact that T has been traveling nonstop to promote her new movie — from NYC to Washington, D.C., to Los Angeles and back again — and she still looks like this. What the what?!

Anyway, her stunning purple gown featured a classic strapless silhouette, side slit and trailing train, and not a single flaw was found. She accessorized with a beautiful Bulgari High Jewellery diamond and sapphire necklace, and High Jewellery ring in white gold with rubies and vintage studs. Statement jewelry is somewhat of a rarity for our Tina, but she crushed it. T hasn’t worn purple since the 2012 Emmy Awards, and I’ve got to say, I am in love.

Tina completed her red carpet look with a gorgeous updo, courtesy of Remington Celebrity Stylist Richard Marin. “To achieve Tina’s look, I applied argan oil to her wet hair and dried strands with the Remington T|Studio PROtect Dryer, using a paddle brush to ensure her hair was as sleek as possible. I then prepped her dry hair with a heat protectant and used Remington’s UV Baked Iron to straighten,” Richard said. “To create the braided style, I applied Rene Furterer Modeling Paste throughout, which adds texture to freshly washed hair. I then parted Tina’s hair to the side, pulled it tight to her head and secured with a Remington Elastic. After the ponytail was in place, I braided it and looped it around so the tail ended at the base of her ponytail. To secure the look, I pinned the braid to the back of Tina’s head and combed her flyaways into place. Finally, I finished with a spritz of Oribe Superfine Hairspray, and Tina was Oscars ready!” Gorgeous.

Tina will be presenting with fellow comedy mainstay Steve Carell, thereby putting on a mini Date Night reunion. Yasss. Tina’s next flick, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, is due March 4. Don’t miss it!
