“Blake really is infatuated with Gwen and talks about her to anyone that asks,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He’s had makeup at The Voice have to make sure he doesn’t have lipstick marks on air because he is seen with marks backstage all the time. And he loves it, he always jokes that they are his war wounds. Like he went to battle in kissing Gwen and she won.”
So cute! It’s hilarious knowing that Gwen isn’t the only person getting done up in the makeup chair before going live on The Voice. And it’s her fault, too, that Blake has to sit through a check-up before hitting the stage! As for those war wounds: they’ve always said that love is a battlefield, and it looks like Gwen and Blake have been “fighting” hard! Maybe their next adorable Instagram will feature the aftermath of one of their not-so-secret makeup sashes!
It’s even more understandable now why Blake doesn’t want Gwen to leave The Voice after the season finale so that Christina Aguilera can return to the show. As he told Extra, “why can’t we have a fifth coach?” Hear, hear! With Gwen gone, he can’t spend all day, every day with his girlfriend — and sneak in some quality time together backstage. He’s going to miss that red lipstick!
