Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani: He Loves Getting Red Lipstick Marks From Kissing Her

When Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are trying to get lovey dovey on the sly, there's one thing that's constantly giving them away: Gwen's bright red lipstick marks on his face! No worries, though; Blake's got a thing for these 'war wounds'! Flaming red lipstick is Gwen Stefani's signature beauty look, and it's rubbing off on boyfriend Blake Shelton -- literally! The lovebirds can't stop kissing and cuddling backstage at The Voice, and it's leaving Blake with red lip prints all over his beardy face, according to a source who spoke to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. Good thing he's totally into his new look!

“Blake really is infatuated with Gwen and talks about her to anyone that asks,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He’s had makeup at The Voice have to make sure he doesn’t have lipstick marks on air because he is seen with marks backstage all the time. And he loves it, he always jokes that they are his war wounds. Like he went to battle in kissing Gwen and she won.”

So cute! It’s hilarious knowing that Gwen isn’t the only person getting done up in the makeup chair before going live on The Voice. And it’s her fault, too, that Blake has to sit through a check-up before hitting the stage! As for those war wounds: they’ve always said that love is a battlefield, and it looks like Gwen and Blake have been “fighting” hard! Maybe their next adorable Instagram will feature the aftermath of one of their not-so-secret makeup sashes!

It’s even more understandable now why Blake doesn’t want Gwen to leave The Voice after the season finale so that Christina Aguilera can return to the show. As he told Extra“why can’t we have a fifth coach?” Hear, hear! With Gwen gone, he can’t spend all day, every day with his girlfriend — and sneak in some quality time together backstage. He’s going to miss that red lipstick!
