Even the president flirts! During Nelson Mandela’s memorial Dec. 10, Barack Obama sat between Michelle Obama and Denmark’s Prime Minister, Helle Thorning-Schmidt — and the First Lady didn’t look too thrilled about their flirting!
While we’re sure it was just innocent pitter patter between two extremely powerful leaders, President Obama and Danish Prime Minister, Helle Thorning-Schmidt‘s interaction definitely caught the world’s eyes!
President Obama Flirts With Prime Minister
First of all, the president was photographed taking selfies with his seat mates, British Prime Minister David Cameron and the blond, very attractive, Helle Thorning-Schmidt.
But next, he was caught smiling and laughing with her in what appeared to be a very flirtatious way and Michelle Obama didn’t exactly looked thrilled about it. Shall we say, “icy!”
Now she may have just been miffed that the president was laughing at such a solemn occasion. After all, he was there to give what would be a beautiful speech honoring Nelson Mandela. Or was she just a little put out that her hubby, 52, was clearly enjoying himself with Throning-Schmidt, 46?
Barack Kisses Michelle’s Hand In Cute Moment
In any case, when President Obama stood up to deliver his touching speech honoring Mandela, Michelle leaned in and chatted with Helle as well — it looks like all is good in paradise!
After he was done, he was spotted giving Helle a quick peck on the cheek and kissing Michelle’s hand — such a romantic gentleman! We’re sure that he was just trying to stay positive during a hard time.
Plus, we know that they have an amazing marriage — he even said that he gets “dizzy” sometimes looking at her!
“Sometimes, when we’re lying together, I look at her and I feel dizzy with the realization that here is another distinct person from me, who has memories, origins, thoughts, feelings that are different from my own,” he said in an interview. “That tension between familiarity and mystery meshes something strong between us. Even if one builds a life together based on trust, attentiveness and mutual support, I think that’s it’s important that a partner continues to surprise.”
