It looks like we’re not the only ones that have to deal with a muffin-top! Even supermodel Elle Macpherson can’t escape the pesky bulge over the waistband of her jeans! Is the only option to get a bigger pant size or is there another way to ditch these bad-boys for life?
Elle Macpherson, 46, is super thin and yet even she can’t escape the muffin top over her jeans! What’s going on? Are her jeans just too tight ? Or is this just something every woman eventually will suffer from?
Personal trainer and fitness coach Jeff Halevy tells us that there isn’t much we can do about this problem area. “It’s where nature tells us to keep our fat. The flanks are just one of those areas that we’re genetically coated to store more fat.” It looks like no one can run away from lovehandles, especially women! The next time you complain about these lovehandles, just tell yourself it isn’t your fault!
However, there are some ways you can minimize your muffin top. Jeff suggests that women should just focus on exercising their core. “Side planks will directly hit those muscles for muscle tone.”
Jeff also believes you are what you eat. Before even thinking about exercise, we have to consider our diet. “The way we look is 80% diet and 20% exercise.” Apparently, there’s no way to directly impact a certain area and target fat. “The only way to target that specific area would be liposuction,” says Jeff.
