Stephenie Meyer’s first post-‘Twilight’ movie ‘The Host’ is now available on DVD/Blu-ray, bursting with extras to make you fall in love with it all over again.
As a movie, The Host was a breath of fresh air after spending more than four years stuck in the supernatural world of Twilight. While the main character Melanie Stryder (Saoirse Ronan) manages not to fall in love with vampires and befriend werewolves, that doesn’t mean there isn’t any shortage of a love story. And there’s even more to love on the DVD!
Vampires are taking a backseat and giving aliens a turn in the spotlight with Stephenie Meyer’s new flick that will catch the hearts of all who watch it. ‘Twilight’ fans and haters alike will be glad to have seen this movie.
In a crazy, messed-up world, humans are being taken over by alien souls. That is the setting of the new movie The Host, based on a novel by Stephenie Meyer. Humans are seen as destructive and mean, so the aliens think it’s their right to save the planet by taking over the bodies of those who inhabit it.

The 36-year-old star walked the black carpet and practically blended right into the background in her Chanel dress from the Fall 2013 collection.

Are Max & Jake the new Robert Pattinson & Taylor Lautner? Not so fast!
On the surface, it’s only natural for one to compare The Host — coming to theaters March 29 — with the Twilight saga. They’re both science fiction/fantasy stories, they’re both based on books by Stephenie Meyer and they’re both carried by an impossibly attractive group of actors. But Max Irons and Jake Abel, two of those impossibly good-looking actors I just mentioned, want to make one thing clear: The Host is nothing like Twilight.
