Mike O’Malley has a special place in his heart for Cory Monteith, who played his character’s stepson on ‘Glee.’ In a new interview, Mike revealed that the ‘Glee’ tribute episode, airing Oct. 10, was the perfect way to honor his co-star.
Mike O’Malley had nothing but great things to say about Cory Monteith, as well as the Glee tribute episode, when he paid a visit to Ellen on Oct. 10. He said it was emotional for the cast and crew to film, and it’ll be heartbreaking for the audience who knew Cory as his character, Finn.
Kurt’s dad Burt will be back in the Christmas episode on Dec. 13 and he plays a huge role in pushing Kurt and Blaine back together!
Mike O’Malley returns to Glee on Dec. 13 as Kurt’s (Chris Colfer) adorable father Burt. While he ends up playing a role in Kurt and Blaine’s (Darren Criss) reunion, the actor reveals that it may be his parting gift to the series.
The November 23 episode of ‘Glee’ pulled out all the stops — Nazi-hunting Carol Burnett, singing, dancing & two marriages and let us not forget the drama of Kurt leaving McKinley High!
Tonight’s episode of Glee, “Furt,” was all about change — the things that we are often most scared of were addressed with bullying, family issues and marriage. Of course, this was also the episode featuring the iconic Carol Burnett, which granted the average Glee watcher has no clue of her legend, but thankfully she proved she’ll make a new legend as Sue Sylvester’s (Jane Lynch) no nonsense mother Doris Sylvester. But that’s not even the half of it.
It turns out ‘Glee’ can be just as great without the song and dance! If anything, they were the worst parts of tonight’s episode!
Before we get too far, I must start by saying that perhaps the best scene in Glee‘s one and barely a quarter seasons was Kurt (Chris Colfer) singing “I Want To Hold Your Hand” by The Beatles to flashback scenes of his father. Beyond that however, I would have much rather seen the amazing acting of Chris, Mike O’Malley, Jayma Mays, and, above all else, Jane Lynch than meaningless songs from Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and the rest of the glee club on the amazing, and at times lackluster, Oct. 5 episode!
