John Galliano is set to appear at the Palais de Justice in Paris this afternoon where the designer is likely to provide testimony regarding his long-standing battle with substance abuse. WWD reports that Galliano is still undergoing treatment for excessive drinking and use of prescription medication.
While some designers and celebrities haven’t been so hard on the former Dior designer, Isaac spoke out about his inexcusable behavior — and said he hopes he doesn’t ever work again!
Right before Paris Fashion Week, designer John Galliano was arrested for alleged assault and racist remarks — at first suspended and then fired from fashion house Dior, everyone went into a frenzy when footage of the designer, drunk and making disgraceful anti-Semitic remarks, surfaced. While some seemed shocked and even sympathetic, designer Isaac Mizrahi thinks his behavior is totally inexcusable.

After John Galliano‘s drunken outrage in Paris at the La Perle cafe on Feb. 24, where the designer allegedly assaulted a couple calling them racist and anti-Semitic remarks, he will now report to French criminal court in the second quarter (between April and June). The latest reports addressed the designer’s drinking and drug use, and even claims that he has left Paris to check into rehab — but does the latest update mean he may serve time in jail?
Just days before the Dior show, designer John Galliano has been fired from the design house. The news comes right after Natalie Portman, Dior spokeswoman and face of Parfums Christian Dior, spoke out about the designer’s disgraceful anti-Semitic behavior and disassociated herself from the designer.
After John Galliano was arrested for making anti-Semitic comments and alleged assault on Feb. 24 in Paris he was immediately suspended from the design house. Now the designer has officially been fired after a video of a drunk Galliano saying, “I love Hitler,” was released on Feb. 28. In the video, the designer also told two people they “should have been gassed.” The news comes just days before the Christian Dior show, which is scheduled for Mar. 4 during Paris Fashion Week.
