Chris Murphy, 42, the Democratic Senator and representative of the Newton, Connecticut district is taking a stand for what he believes in. He vowed to stay “as long as I can” on the senate floor until Congress makes a change to the current gun control legislation — passing the 10-hour mark and going into the evening. The filibuster Chris launched even received the support of presumptive Democratic presidential nominee for the United States, 68-year-old Hillary Clinton.
