Oh no — things didn’t start out the way Taylor Swift planned at the Grammy Awards. The singer was visibly upset after her performance at the beginning of the show, and was seen wiping away a tear when seated back in the crowd. Luckily, she didn’t let one little mishap ruin her whole night!
Taylor Swift, 26, made a teeny-tiny mistake during her Grammy Awards performance of “Out of the Woods” on Feb. 15, and she was beyond frustrated over it. Cameras caught the 26-year-old crying and being consoled by BFF Selena Gomez, 23, after her opening number, and it’s heartbreaking to watch. See the video here.

Immediately after performing, Tay took her seat in the front row, and even though Sel gave her an encouraging smile and hug, it was impossible to miss the upset look on her face. She was even seen wiping tears from her eyes at one point! She looked and sounded amazing while performing “Out of the Woods,” but one little error really got to her, as she mouthed to a friend behind her, “I missed that note.” Taylor, you were still BEYOND amazing!
Luckily, the “Wildest Dreams” singer was able to put it behind her as the show progressed. Even though we, sadly, didn’t get to see many shots of her dancing away while other artists performed, it was clear her night was made when she won the Grammy for Album of the Year toward the very end of the show — and she totally fired back at Kanye West, 38, in the classiest way after his claims that he “made her famous.” Stream Taylor’s music ad-free RIGHT HERE.
“As the first woman to win Album of the Year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to all the all young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for YOUR accomplishments or your fame,” she said in her acceptance speech. “But if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you’re going, you’ll look around and you’ll know it was you and the people who love you that put you there and that will be the greatest feeling in the world.” EPIC.
