The boys both attended Clive Davis & The Recording Academy’s annual pre-Grammys bash, and even though it was a crowded, celeb-filled affair, it definitely wasn’t impossible for them to have run into each other. While Harry avoided the red carpet, Zayn looked hotter than ever in black pants and a white shirt, slightly unbuttoned to show off his chest tattoos — and how great is that pink hair!? But even if they managed to stay apart upon arrival, it’s totally possible that they had some sort of encounter inside. Oh, to be a fly on that wall, right?!
Things have been a bit tense between Zayn and the other members of One Direction since he decided to leave the band in March, and during a November interview, he admitted he doesn’t even talk to the rest of the guys anymore. “I spoke to Liam [Payne] about two weeks ago,” he revealed to Fader. “It was the first time I’d spoken to him since I left the band ,and I rung him, and he wanted to talk. He said that he didn’t understand at the time, but he now fully gets why I had to do what I did. He understands that it’s my thing, that I had to do that.”
“I haven’t spoken to any of the boys at all, really,” Zayn added in a January interview. “I spoke to Liam a bit and that’s just the way it is. Publicly, when they were asked questions about it, they said that they’d spoken to me and that we were friends. But that’s not the case. I tried to reach out and be their friend but they haven’t even replied to any of my calls or texts.” Yikes — he said this just a few weeks ago, so we doubt anything’s changed between him and Harry since. Chances are, the guys did a lot of dodging and avoiding at the party last night!
