Once a year, families get together, plop in front of their TVs and enjoy their favorite yuletide movies. You know, the ones you really only watch once a year. Some of them are even marathoned all-day on Dec. 25 — that’s how beloved they are. So whether you love ‘Home Alone’ or ‘The Santa Clause’, celebrate the best movies of the season with this fun gallery!
‘Home Alone’, ‘Christmas Story’, & More: The Best Christmas Movies Ever
“You guys give up — or are you thirsty for more?” Those are the immortal words of Kevin McCallister, the precocious little boy who’s abandoned on his Christmas vacation by his family in Home Alone. Try as he might, Macaulay Culkin will never not be known for his character in that flick, and rightly so. The movie has become a staple for most families to watch around the holidays. Same can be said of Ralphie from A Christmas Story and Jack Skellington from A Nightmare Before Christmas.
So many great films, it really is hard to just pick one. Of course, the holidays wouldn’t be complete without classics like The Grinch and A Charlie Brown Christmas. Plus, no Christmas is complete without the thrill of watching how Santa gets to be the big man of the North Pole with Tim Allen in The Santa Clause. There’s just so many to choose from — everyone has their favorite!
Ariana Grande & More Perform In Disney Parks ‘Frozen’ Christmas Celebration
If you’re in the mood for some holiday music, some of the most popular voices today came together to celebrate Christmas morning at the Disney Parks on Dec.25 with the Disney Parks ‘Frozen’ Christmas Celebration. Ariana Grande performed from in front of Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom, ringing in the season with her Holiday single, “Santa Tell Me.” Across the country, Lucy Hale delighted fans at Disney’s California Adventure Park with a performance of her first Holiday country song, “Mistletoe”! What a great way to start off the day!
So, what are you watching on Christmas, Hollywoodlifers? Do you have any annual movies you watch?
