The Spice Girls were one of the most popular groups of the 1990s. The five women performed tons of hit songs and even starred in their own musical-comedy Spice World. The band’s five members all took on a stage persona to fit the group. It was made up of Melanie Brown (as “Scary Spice”), Melanie Chisholm (“Sporty Spice”), Emma Bunton (“Baby Spice”), Geri Halliwell (“Ginger Spice”), and Victoria Beckham (“Posh Spice”).

Even though the band has had tons of hits like “Spice Up Your Life” and “Say You’ll Be There,” their debut single “Wannabe” is definitely still their most famous, regularly showing up in 90s throwback playlists. With Baby Spice herself celebrating her birthday on Jan. 21, let’s look back at some of the best moments of Emma and the gang.
