Alex Moffat as Eric Trump, Mikey Day as Donald Trump Jr., Alec Baldwin as Donald Trump — Since its debut in 1975, ‘Saturday Night Live’ has tackled political sketches and impressions with ease. But the 2016 presidential election inspired the show’s writers and cast members to knock their political skewering up a thousand knots. Now that we’re nearly through Donald Trump’s first presidential term, the number of characters has only increased. While Kate McKinnon has been tasked with portraying most of these politicians, plenty of other guest stars and cast members have impressions under their belts, too. Here, Alex Moffat and Mikey Day portray Eric and Donald Trump Jr., maybe two of the funniest impressions in the Trump era. Eric is played as being incredibly, insanely dumb, while Don Jr. is essentially his handler. He coaxes his “buddy” into staying quiet during sketches and distracting him with fidget spinners.
