Singer-songwriter Jane ‘Nightbirde’ Marczewski was an inspiration, who tragically passed away at 31 years old on Feb. 20, 2022. She was an instant sensation when she appeared on ‘America’s Got Talent’ in summer 2021. Forthcoming about her cancer, she told the judges about her battle during her audition. Though her talents were clear, Nightbirde’s declining health forced her to drop out of the competition mid-season.
News of her passing emerged on Feb. 21, 2022. Her family shared a touching tribute with HollywoodLife, telling us, “We, her family, are devastated by her passing and unimaginable loss. Many remember her from America’s Got Talent, where she performed her song ‘It’s OK’ and inspired millions of people around the globe with her messages of faith and never giving up.
“Those who knew her, enjoyed her larger-than-life personality and sense of humor. She had a witty joke for every occasion—even if the joke was on her. Her lasting legacy will be the gift of hope she gave to so many through her music and the strength she found in Jesus.”
Here, Nightbirde can be seen during her audition. She instantly impressed the judges with her original song ‘I’m Ok’. She even managed to make the stone-faced Simon Cowell emotional with her tune.
