‘Big Little Lies’ Season 2 — ‘Big Little Lies’ with new episodes June 9 on HBO. The second season will consist of 7 episodes. Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kravitz, Nicole Kidman, and Laura Dern are back as the notorious Monterey 5, a.k.a Madeline, Jane, Bonnie, Celeste, and Renata. Season 2 will explore the aftermath of Perry’s shocking death at the end of season 1. The ladies will be trying to come to terms with happened and move on. However, danger looms over them. They’re lying about what really happened that night. Meryl Streep has joined the cast as Perry’s mother, Mary Louise Wright. She’s searching for answers about her son’s death. Other returning cast members include Adam Scott, James Tupper, Jeffrey Nordling, Kathryn Newton, Iain Armitage, Robin Weigert, Merrin Dungey, and Sarah Sokolovic.
