Obi-Wan Kenobi’s return in the Disney+ series of the same name featured the appearances of familiar characters, including Princess Leia. Nine-year-old Vivien Lyra Blair stars as the spunky Leia, first made famous by the late Carrie Fisher, in the series.

1. Vivien plays young Princess Leia.
Vivien makes her first appearance as a young Princess Leia in the first episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi. At just 10 years old, Leia is already a force to be reckoned with. In the first episode, Leia is kidnapped. Bail and Breha beg Obi-Wan to help in getting her home safely. Obi-Wan initially refuses and says Leia will be “better off.” Bail doesn’t take no for an answer. He confronts Obi-Wan. “You couldn’t save Anakin,” Bail says, “but you can save her.”
In the second episode, Obi-Wan heads to Daiyu to find Leia. He rescues her and quickly tries to get out of Daiyu. Leia runs off after she thinks Obi-Wan is there to kidnap her. Obi-Wan winds up saving her using the Force. Before they head out of Daiyu, Obi-Wan tells Leia, “You just remind me of someone [Padme]. She was fearless, too, and stubborn.” Obi-Wan and Leia are able to escape but not before Obi-Wan finds out that Anakin Skywalker is alive.
2. Vivien rose to fame in ‘Bird Box.’
Vivien starred as Girl in Bird Box alongside Sandra Bullock when she was just 5 years old. She was blindfolded throughout most of the movie. Bird Box became the most-watched Netflix movie until Red Notice was released in 2021.
3. Vivien’s first onscreen role was in 2017.
Vivien made her on-screen debut in the 2017 film Band Aid. After that, she starred in the limited series Waco before nabbing her role in Bird Box. She’s also had roles on Station 19, The First Lady, and more. Vivien played Guppy in the Netflix movie We Can Be Heroes.
4. Vivien is a vegetarian.
“My eyes were covered in Bird Box, but I always look out for animals. That’s why I’m a vegetarian!” Vivien said in a 2019 interview with PETA. She’s been a vegetarian since she was born. She loves fruits and veggies, especially edamame, asparagus, and green beans.
5. Vivien loves animals.
Vivien is a cat-lover. She has three rescue cats. “I want to make the world a better place for animals,” Vivien told PETA.
