Kevin Turen was an integral part to many hit shows and movies, although most of his work was behind the scenes. The producer died at 44. His passing was confirmed on Sunday, November 12, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Penske Media Corporation CEO Jay Penske shared the sad news of Kevin’s passing in a statement to THR. “Despite his many achievements in Hollywood, Kevin’s greatest passion was his family and friends,” he said. “He was so proud of his children. He and his wife, Evelina, were resolved that their children grow up with great values and ensured they make a difference in the broader world. Our collective heart breaks for them, and we all feel such a profound sense of loss. We will miss Kevin so much, and this town lost one of its brightest rising stars today.”

Kevin Co-Founded Little Lamb Productions

While Kevin had a very lengthy career in the entertainment business, in recent years, he’d co-founded Little Lamb Productions alongside Sam and Ashley Levinson. The production company also helped develop the hit shows Euphoria and The Idol for HBO. Kevin was an executive producer for each show. He’d also worked on other critically acclaimed projects like The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.

He Worked Closely With Ti West

In addition to his partnership with the Levinsons, Kevin also had a strong relationship with director Ti West. He served as a producer on his films Pearl and X, as well as the unreleased sequel MaXXXine, according to his IMDb profile.

He Was Married for Over 10 Years

As mentioned in Jay’s statement, Kevin was married and had children. The pair tied the knot in June 2012. Not many other details about them or their children are readily available.

He Began His Career in Film After Graduating from Columbia University

Kevin studied English and Critical Film Studies at the Ivy League school, per THR. After graduating, he began his career at First Look Studios (then Capital Entertainment). After his time at First Look, he had high positions in production companies like Infinity Media, Treehouse Pictures, and Phantom Four. He co-founded Little Lamb in 2018.

Some of His Projects Were Still in Production When He Died

At the time of his passing, Kevin had many unrealized projects, according to his IMDb profile. In addition to the above-mentioned MaXXXine, he was reportedly producing Francis and the Godfather, Green Lantern Corps, Gossamer, Solitary, and an untitled project involving The Weeknd.
