Pete Davidson Mocks His Engagement To Ariana Grande After Fan With Same Name Screams At Him

Pete Davidson joked about marrying an enthusiastic fan after she told him her ‘name is Ariana’ outside the ‘Saturday Night Live’ studio in New York City.

A fan named Arianna got Pete Davidson‘s attention this weekend and it prompted him to poke fun at his engagement to ex Ariana Grande, 27. The 27-year-old comedian met the enthusiastic admirer outside of the Saturday Night Live studio in New York City, which can be seen in her TikTok video below, and after she screamed and told him, “My name’s Arianna too”, he immediately came back with a cheeky response. “Oh! Well, hello. Let’s get married,” he said while wearing a mask and walking by.

The fan jumped for joy and held up her ring finger after the interaction and expressed her love for Pete in the caption for her video. “I met Pete Davidson & I’m in love,” she wrote before the clip started making headlines.

Pete’s funny comment to the fan comes two years after his whirlwind romance with Ariana went public and put him in an even bigger spotlight than he already was. The former lovebirds started dating around May 2018, very shortly after Pete and his ex Cazzie David split. They quickly became engaged in June and it lasted until Oct. before they called things off for good.

Although it’s been a while since they’ve been romantically involved, Pete and Ariana’s engagement recently made headlines again due to Cazzie’s new tell-all book of essays, No One Asked For This. The daughter of Larry David dished on her relationship with Pete as well as their breakup in the release, and also revealed more details in a Los Angeles Times interview. The brunette beauty said it was a “really pivotal moment” in her life when they broke up and admitted she “shook uncontrollably” when she learned he moved on with Ariana, which she claims took place only a day after he allegedly sent her a breakup text.

“It was a really pivotal moment in my life. And writing about it has caused me a ton of anxiety, especially because I talk so much about hating the attention it brought me,” she told the Los Angeles Times in Nov. “Why would I bring more attention to myself by writing about it? But there’s nothing that’s gonna be worse than what I already experienced with that.”

As far as how Pete feels about Cazzie’s comments about him in her book and beyond, a source recently told us that he has “mixed emotions.” “[Pete] sees the relationship he had with Cazzie as something he enjoyed, but sees how it ended differently than she does,” the source EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife last month. “And when Ariana came into the picture, that was such a breath of fresh air for him that he went on that journey fast and furious because it felt so right.”
