Malik Beasley‘s estranged wife, Montana Yao, shared a shocking update that claimed she was asked to “leave” her family home”, in a new Instagram post that also thanked her supporters on Dec. 9. The post comes just over two weeks since her 24-year-old NBA star husband was photographed holding hands with Larsa Pippen, 46, in Miami, and the model, who filed for divorce on Dec. 8, admitted things “have been pretty rough”.

“Hey y’all I just wanted to say THANK YOU so much for your tremendous love and support during this time. Things have been pretty rough I’m not going to lie,” Montana wrote in the beginning of the post. “We were told to leave our family home 10 days ago, and just like you, I’m pretty confused.”

She went on to explain that there “has been no private or public addressing of the situation, nor any type of apology” and although she’s “not the type to disclose too much information”, she “definitely will if or when” she “feels it is appropriate.”

Although it’s not clear who the “we” is in the beginning of Montana’s post, she does share her two-year-old son Makai, with Malik. Further down in the message, she made sure to also thank everyone for their support.

“I mainly wanted to say, I have never received so many kind words of encouragement and love, and it has really held me up to be strong for not only myself, but more importantly for my son,” she wrote. “I’m sorry I haven’t been able to respond to each and every one of you, but just know I have read almost every single message, comment, etc.”

The brunette beauty concluded her message with words of gratitude for all the “strong women and mothers who have shared similar stories” and “all the men” who have sent her “support and understanding.” She also explained that she’s focusing on “healing” herself and “becoming the best mother” she can “at this time” before promising to “be back soon.”

Montana’s latest post comes after she revealed that she was surprised to see the photos of Malik and Larsa, in an Instagram Story post on Dec. 1, the same day the pics surfaced. “Wow… I don’t even know this man,” she wrote in the post. “This is wild y’all I’m seeing it for the first time just like y’all. The truth always comes out one way or another … I’ve always and will forever remain true to who I am and GOD has never let me down.”

She officially filed for divorce from the Minnesota Timberwolves player in Hennepin County Family Court on Dec. 8, but at this time, it’s unclear whether she’ll be seeking spousal support or what kind of custody arrangement they’ll have for their son.
