Johnny Depp ‘Overwhelmed’ By Fan Support After Amber Heard Lawsuit

While Johnny Depp is embroiled in a bitter $50 million defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard, the A-list actor is currently feeling ‘vindicated’ after receiving strong fan support, following reported new evidence of his innocence being revealed.

Johnny Depp, 55, is thrilled, according to a HollywoodLife.com source, after receiving a plethora of fan support in recent days. It has been reported that the Pirates Of The Caribbean star is suing his ex-wife, Amber Heard for $50 million for defamation, after she alleged that he physically abused her during their marriage, according to documents obtained by The Blast on March 8. We have not seen the documents ourselves, but The Blast shared portions of them on their site, including a section where he alleges she punched him in the face, prior to their separation in May 2016. Currently, the case has yet to be settled and Amber is still standing by her own allegations. However, along with the lawsuit documents, photos surfaced of Johnny with a bruised face, which allegedly were submitted with the documents, as wells as photos of a severed finger. Back in 2016, Amber claimed that Johnny cut his own finger off in a ‘fit of rage,’ but according to the portions of the court documents shared by The Blast, a month after the couple married in Feb. 2015, Amber “shattered the bones in the tip of Mr. Depp’s right middle finger, almost completely cutting it off.”

As news spread of gruesome images of the Oscar-nominated actor’s injuries and allegations against Amber, fans on Twitter rushed to apologize to Johnny for initially not believing his side of the story — and he’s beyond grateful for the support. “Johnny is overwhelmed by all the love and support he’s receiving from fans on Twitter,” a source shared with HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He is finally feeling vindicated after years of looking like the ‘bad guy’ and not believing his side of the story. Johnny never wanted to put Amber in a position to look like the aggressor, but he finally had enough and needed to reveal his truth. The fact that fans are now beginning to believe his account of what happened feels incredible and he’s more determined than ever to continue fighting for justice and redeem his reputation.” HollywoodLife.com reached out to Johnny’s rep for comment, but did not receive an immediate response.

Even though the case is still being investigated, this didn’t stop fans from taking to Twitter to comment, with messages that ranged from straight out apologies to Johnny, to shock and awe over the new supposed evidence. “The fact that Johnny’s bruises is only one of many other photographs he has for court is so heartbreaking, but also so important,” posted one Twitter user. Another added: “I’ve never been more proud of you Johnny Depp! You handled everything in a way few would have. You didn’t owe anyone anything and yet again you put yourself out there to make sure the truth comes out! You are so strong and inspire us to be so as well.”

“Johnny is interested in the truth,” another source explained to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.  “He understands that takes some time, once you have to battle through certain hoops and falsehoods that are always presented. And the fact that he is a big star, it’s even more of a slippery slope to deal with. But Johnny is more than happy that he is getting support from all around the world — that goes a long way —  but ultimately he wants his day in court to prove that what he is saying is true.” As for Johnny exact allegations against Amber, according to the documents posted by The Blast, Johnny claims that the Amber was “upset and began criticizing him,” in April 2016 when he was later for her ’30th birthday dinner’. When confronted, he claimed Amber became “aggressive and violent, punching him twice in the face.”

No doubt that this case as a long way to go before being resolved and we’ll continue to report as updates on the case continue to come in.
