1. He started as a gamer

When RiceGum (real name Bryan Le), 20, started his YouTube channel back in 2012, he used it as a place to post about Call Of Duty, his favorite video game. His first video was titled ‘Call of Duty: Mw3 Gameplay LifeStory:Babysitting:RICEGUM.”

2. He now uses his YouTube page for comedy

RiceGum first went viral at the end of 2015 with his video “These Kids Must Be Stopped.” In the clip, he called out fellow teenage Internet stars who had exhibited, in his opinion, annoying or ridiculous behavior. Now, RiceGum’s videos are mostly satirical, and he uses the channel to roast other YouTubers and web stars with his infamous “diss tracks.”

3. He has a huge following

In the year and a half since he gained recognition, RiceGum has obtained more than 5 million subscribers on YouTube, along with nearly 3 million Instagram followers. He doesn’t use Twitter as often as these other platforms, but he still has more than 1 million followers there, too.

4. He keeps his private life private

Although RiceGum is constantly posting photos and videos of himself, little is known about his personal life. Bryan has confirmed he has two parents, a younger sister and younger brother, and although he mentions them in his videos, he rarely, if ever, shows photos of them. He still lives with his parents in Nevada.

5. He dropped out of college

Although RiceGum graduated from Sierra Vista High School in Nevada, he couldn’t make it through college, dropping out in 2016, pursuing his Internet comedy career rather than going on to become a doctor like his mother wanted.
