The Good Wife story is continuing with a new player: Rose Leslie’s Maia Rindell. She’s Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) goddaughter and also a lawyer. Young Maia has a lot to learn from Diane. “Practicing the law, you don’t go on instinct,” Diane says in the teaser. “You wait, you listen, and watch.”

In the teaser, Maia rolls around in bed with a fellow lawyer named Amy (Heléne Yorke). Maia holds Amy’s arms by her sides as she seductively lies on top of her. Our sister site TVLine was the first to reveal that Rose’s character would be a lesbian.
Maia’s reputation has been destroyed after a major financial scam that also left Diane broke. Diane and Maia will join Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo) at a top law firm in Chicago. The Good Fight will be set one year after the May 8 series finale of The Good Wife. The spinoff premieres Sunday, Feb. 19 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS All Access. The series will also Bernadette Peters, Justin Bartha, Erica Tazel, and Delroy Lindo.
Rose’s role on The Good Fight is a far cry from her role as Ygritte on Game of Thrones. Her character, a wildling who fell in love with Jon Snow, was killed off in season four. Rose is currently dating her co-star Kit Harington. We can’t wait to see Rose tackle this entirely new role!
