The Yellow Submarines (really – how cool is that team name?) will try to leap over Atletico Madrid and gain one more spot on la Liga tables. Manager Fran Escriba, 51, will try to kick his team in the butt, as they’ve been on a dry spell, failing to win in their last three games, per Bleacher Report.

Atletico is also hoping to end some of its own droughts, specifically the lack-of-scoring from striker Antoine Griezmann, 25. The French player, who had 39 goals for club and country in the 2015 season, hasn’t scored since Atletico’s 2-0 victory over Valencia on Oct. 2, according to ESPN. Manager Diego Simeone, 46, has picked Antoine to start, hoping that this will get him back to his winning ways.

“Players are used to going through different phases,” Diego said ahead of the game. “But [Antoine’s] working hard and he always does something important for the team. He has to keep working so that he can see where he needs to improve, and in that way the important goals will come.”

With both sides failing to score more than one goal in the last seven games between them, the stakes are high for both sides to deliver and deliver big. If they have any hopes of taking La Liga away from Cristiano Ronaldo, 31, and the rest of Real Madrid, both teams need to end 2016 with some massive victories.

Who do you think is going to win this game, HollywoodLifers? Do you think Atletico Madrid will take the W or will the Yellow Submarines sink their competition?
