While we did get the chance to chat with some of the cast members about how they feel when hearing “ten years later” — spoiler alert, they all feel old. However, the movie can’t help but make you smile, right?
It does for us, and we’d have to assume it does for Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum too who found love on the set and haven’t aged a day. Plus, it’s even helped them with parenting!
“Dance battles do sort of happen, to be honest,” Tatum joked to Redbook in 2014. “When we wake up in the morning, we put on music, and while Everly’s eating we dance and it just starts to get stupid. Changing the baby is an intermission — but our daughter hates getting her diaper changed, so it’s almost like a break-dancing battle to get it on her. As soon as you lay her down, she’s bridging out of it and doing some jiu-jitsu windmill. It’s pretty intense.”
He also told the mag that they were “basically together” on the movie, after meeting on set and watching back, it’s cool to see their first kiss. “As soon as the movie wrapped, we want back to L.A. and were together, and together ever since — never broken up.”
Well are they just the cutest couple or what? (Plus, let’s not forget that his Step Up skills led to Magic Mike. So, thank you for that!) In honor of the film hitting theaters ten years ago, we put together a gallery of all the stars then and now! Do you still love Step Up, HollywoodLifers?
