Ouch! Kat Von D, 34, wants absolutely nothing to do with her ex-BFF after nearly a decade of knowing each other. “After years of making excuses for, and rationalizing Jeffree’s, 30, inappropriate behavior (including, promoting drug use, racism, and bullying) I can no longer hold my tongue after recent events,” Kat said in a long post she shared on all her social media platforms on July 19. An image of Jeffree was attached to the post with an overlay of the universal “no” symbol.
“I know that over the years, many of you were introduced to Jeffree through me, and regardless if you chose to continue to follow him or not, I just would like to disassociate myself from him and his brand from this point on,” Kat continued. Kat also revealed that she would be uploading a video explaining what behavior prompted such a drastic plan of action.

“I plan on posting a video explanation as to why I felt compelled to make such a statement,” she added. “But for the time being, I simply want to apologize to anybody and everybody who has ever had to deal with any of his negativity. And yes, with a heavy heart, I will be pulling the shade “Jeffree” from my collection.” OMG, whatever Jeffree said or did, it must’ve been bad enough for her to have to completely wipe out her shade of makeup named after him!

But Jeffree wasn’t going to let Kat throw all the shade! He took to Twitter to denounce her claims and tell his side of the story on July 19. “Someone I haven’t seen in over a year, wants to make a post about me. I’m yawning right now,” he began his 4-tweet rant. “Kat and I texted a few days ago after 6 MONTHS of silence. She never supported me or my brand and got distant when I launched mine. This whole situation is sad and gross. I don’t need to clap back or make a video about someone’s post. It’s getting trite.” But after spilling the tea on their friendship status, he decided to let it go. “Instead of feeding into negativity and internet fights, I’m going back to the real world and off to enjoy the rest of my day,” he said.
In happier times, Kat and Jeff were like the Selena Gomez, 23, and Taylor Swift, 26, of the tattoo world! After Kat did a number of his tattoos in 2008, including an intricate portrait of Kurt Cobain tat on his chest, they quickly rose to BFF status. And they even made it Twitter-official in 2015, when Kat tweeted out a selfie of the two! It’s really sad to see these BFFs part ways, but it doesn’t look like they plan on making up any time soon. We’ll just have to wait around for Kat’s exposé video to see what really went down between the former friends!
