“Deepest sorrow for lost [sic] to the family, friends & fans of the very talented, loving Christina Grimmie,” the note read. “No other comments” was added at the bottom. Kevin’s family is likely getting bombarded with questions about his horrific crime, and they must be overwhelmed. It’s unclear who posted the note on the St. Petersburg home, whether it was Kevin’s parents, who live there, or another relative.

PICS — Christina Grimmie on The Voice season six

Kevin traveled to Orlando on the night of June 10 to see The Voice season six finalist open for Before You Exit at Plaza Live. He went up to Christina around 10:30pm while she was signing autographs after the show and shot her; she died from her wounds in the early hours of June 11.

Orlando police have since found no known connection between Christina and Kevin. At this time they believe he was a “deranged” fan after finding evidence that he made the two hour trip to Orlando specifically to target Christina, according to Orlando police chief John Mina.

Kevin apparently had two handguns, extra magazines and a knife on him when he attended the concert, which was not equipped with metal detectors to get into the venue. Chief Mina said that Kevin had plans to drive home after the attack, but didn’t say how police knew this. Since her tragic death, fans and loved ones have shared their love for Christina, including her dear friend Selena Gomez, 23, who dedicated a song to her in concert. Fans also rallied around Christina’s family in their time of need, donating a whopping $80,000+ through to GoFundMe set up by her manager, Brian Teefey!
