‘Game Of Thrones’: Emilia Clarke Confirms No Body Double Was Used In Nude Scene

That was all Emilia Clarke! Daenerys stripped completely naked on the May 15 episode of 'Game of Thrones' for one epic scene, and Emilia is spilling secrets about the episode's final moments. Daenerys Targaryen shocked everyone when she emerged from her confinement at Vaes Dothrak completely nude after burning the place down. Unlike Lena Headey, 42, who used a body double for Cersei's walk of atonement, Emilia Clarke, 29, revealed in an all-new interview that no body double was used for the amazing Game of Thrones scene.

“I’d like to remind people the last time I took my clothes off was season 3,” she told Entertainment Weekly. “That was awhile ago. It’s now season 6. But this is all me, all proud, all strong. I’m just feeling genuinely happy I said ‘Yes.’ That ain’t no body double!”

Way to go, Emilia! She looked fantastic. It was such an empowering moment for Daenerys. If Daenerys walked out like that in front of us, we’d be kneeling at her feet too! Our very own Avery Thompson says this moment changed the season!

Emilia also revealed that she was so ready for Daenerys’ big moment. “It’s so exciting, very tingly-making,” she said. “Every season I get at least one spine-chilling moment. I just stand up and I go, ‘I’m hearing what you’re all saying, but funny thing, I’m going to kill you all. I forgot that I have an ace in my back pocket and now I win.’”

Back in 2015, there were rumors that Emilia couldn’t stand nude scenes, but she quickly blasted the false claims. “In drama, if a nude scene forwards a story or is shot in a way that adds insight into characters, I’m perfectly fine with it,” Emilia said on Instagram at the time.

Well, the May 15 episode certainly propelled the plot forward for Daenerys. Will the Dothraki people follow her as she continues to gain power across Westeros? After that scene, it would be hard to not worship Khaleesi!
