Speaking out in a series of vulgar tweets directed at the media and Twitter critics, Miko not only unleashed some nasty language but also seemed to threaten Miami Herald reporter Armando Salguero, writing, “that fat [expletive] armando thinks he’s safe from bullets bc we might be released is the funniest part of this whole things.” Whoa! No need to bring guns into the discussion, Miko!
She even critized the Miami fanbase adding that it will, “always be mediocre bc the coverage is mediocre. U don’t learn [expletive] from the writers down here.” Harsh words, right? And THEN she brought up BJs — out of nowhere! “My head is bomb RT @nykid84: @Hey_its_Don @iHeartMiko What I don’t understand is why a young athlete married an older shrew woman.” Yep, she went there. Clearly making her Twitter page private after this explosion was a smart move.
Here are five MORE things to know about the vocal NFL wife:
1. Her Twitter rage almost cost Brent his career.
While Brent found a new NFL home with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on March 11, Miko didn’t make it easy for him. In fact, NFL teams were hesitant about picking up the athlete due to Miko’s controversial nature, according to the Bleacher Report. Miko was also apparently the primary reason the Dolphins chose to cut Brent in the first place! On top of that, at least three NFL general managers said they would not sign Brent because they didn’t want Miko around their teams. Ouch.
2. This is not the first time Miko has made headlines.
Miko was arrested outside of Sun Life Stadium in September 2015 due to disorderly conduct, resisting arrest with violence, and battery on a law enforcement officer. She stirred up controversy again in December when she took a verbal shot at Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill on Twitter after a loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
3. She’s a mom.
Miko and Brent had a son, Aiden, in 2010. He’s also the adorable spitting image of his dad! Hopefully around her son though, Miko is able to keep the expletives to a minimum.
4. Miko is a former sports talk show host.
Serving as a personality for a radio sports program on 560-WQAM, Miko was released from her position after her 2015 arrest.
5. Miko was a professional athlete herself.
She played basketball and ran track in high school, and graduated from California State University, Los Angeles with a degree in kinesiology and nutritional science. After college Miko played professional basketball in four different countries overseas, according to a blog post she wrote.
