‘The Voice’: Blake Shelton Turns Around For Contestant Who Sounds Like Gwen Stefani

How adorable! Blake Shelton has already made one of the first selections for his new team on ‘The Voice,’ and his contestant just so happens to have vocal chops that sound exactly like his girlfriend Gwen Stefani!

The sweet sound of Gwen Stefani‘s voice is something that her boyfriend Blake Shelton, 39, just can’t get enough of, so he picked a singer for his The Voice season 10 team who sounds like dead ringer for the 46-year-old No Doubt singer. The tone of Brittany Kennell‘s voice was so similar to Gwen that it even had some of the other judges thinking she’s come on the show and pranked them!

We’re still in the blind rounds with the coaches only hearing contestant voices before hitting their red button to turn their chair around and battle for a contestant. When Brittany hit the stage March 7, she performed a Sheryl Crow song and before any of the other coaches turned around, Christina Aguilera, 35, questioned “Is that Gwen Stefani?!” causing Blake to immediately push his button and proclaim “I LIKE IT!” showing of a giant smile from ear to ear. Awww, how sweet is that! To hear more about Gwen and Blake, head over to iTunes and download the latest HollywoodLife podcast for free!

Blake wasn’t the only one who was a fan of Brittany’s Gwen-sound-alike voice as the singer’s longtime pal and collaborator Pharrell Williams, 42, also turned his chair around to pick her as well. But in the end, Brittany said that her heart belongs to country music so it was only natural that she chose to be on Team Blake.

We can’t wait to see Gwen start working as a mentor to Blake’s contestants, because her interactions with vocal sound alike Brittany should be interesting. We have a pretty good feeling that since Blake is such a fan of Gwen’s music, we’ll eventually get a taste of Brittany doing a take on one her many hits, both as a solo artist and with No Doubt.

HollywoodLifers, do you agree with Christina? Does Brittany sound exactly like Gwen?
